Madrid is home to fun, leisure, and entertainment. It is the capital with the best nightlife in the world! Yes… ahead of New York, Barcelona, Mexico City, and Amsterdam, according to Fitur 2023.
I’m not joking. This is due to many reasons: the city’s safety at night, the price of tickets and consumption compared to other reference countries, and finding bars and clubs is an effortless task if you visit Madrid.
There is so much demand and supply in this market that finding the best spots to add to your bucket list can be overwhelming. For this reason, I am sharing my top places to party in this article to have a fun night in Madrid.
These places are the best clubs and resto-bars in terms of atmosphere, vibes, people, venue decoration, quality of the experience, and depending on how much fun is spent there.
I promise you’ll have the best nights of your entire life… If you can remember them!
Îstar
C. de Serrano, 41, 28001 Madrid
“The Temple of Afro-House Music for those who are made of stars”
This nightclub is one of the trendiest and most exclusive in Madrid.
It is for techno and house music lovers looking to enjoy an international, comfortable, pleasant atmosphere in a clean space with good lighting, temperature, and well-distributed areas that create the perfect atmosphere to dance in front of the DJ or wait for the beat to drop from the comfort of your table.
Fridays and Saturdays are for adults only. (26+)
The line to get in is sometimes longer depends on the day, so I recommend you arrive early and contact the place to book your entrance ticket, which is worth 20 euros and includes a drink.
Or, you can book a table with friends and make a reservation by contacting the establishment.
At Îstar, drinks are 15 euros and bottles 220 euros approximately.
The vibe is exclusive, and the drinks are relatively expensive, but it is worth it!
Moreover, this place has an incomparable advantage. It is next to Five Guys (open until 6am), which allows you to end the night in the best possible way, recharging your batteries to avoid terrible hangovers the next day.
Club Magno
C. de Cedaceros, 7, 28014 Madrid
Club Magno is a remodeled and new version of the old Principito Theater, located in the emblematic building of the well-known bogart cinemas, 5 minutes away from Sol in Madrid.
This large and spacious nightclub has different ambiance areas, including a large dance floor to dance and enjoy all night long.
It has the advantage that on the second floor, you have a reserved area where you can book your spot if you have a special event (birthday, large group, event). So you can enjoy overlooking the entire dance floor and the show.
Since it’s a theater, Teatro Magno hosts shows and events on its big stage every week.
In short, if good music with a fun atmosphere for dancing near the city center is what you’re looking for, then this club is for you.
Drinks were also decently priced for what they served since they put a lot on your glass!
Fridays and Saturdays: +23
Wednesdays and Thursdays: +18
Prices:
- Early ticket with 1 drink - from 10€.
- Early ticket with 2 drinks - from 15€
- Fridays and Saturdays - from 22€
- Bottles and tables in reserved or VIP areas - from 150€ (Fridays and Saturdays - from 200€)
Teatro Barceló
Calle de Barceló, 11. Madrid, Madrid 28004
Located in the Tribunal area and subway where the famous Pacha nightclub used to be. The Teatro Barceló nightclub is a well-known place with 3 floors, a great atmosphere with good music to enjoy the best of Madrid until 6am.
The parties they organize on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays are madness! On these dates, the door is only for people over 23.
It is a perfect club for dancing reggaeton until the sun goes up. Still, I recommend going elsewhere if you prefer to avoid Spanish music.
Without a doubt, this is a fantastic club with great vibes.
Prices:
- Free entrance if you are on the list (without drinks); contact the place to put your name on the list.
- Early ticket with 2 drinks - from 20€.
- Bottle and table in reserved or VIP area - from 180€.
- Drinks: from 12 euros. (They pour it with a dispenser)
La Lianta - La que se lía
Calle de María de Molina, 37, 28006
This is the perfect place to disconnect during the week and go for after-work drinks in a spacious and sober space that allows you to socialize and have a good time, having drinks and tapas on their upstairs floor.
Then, if you get the vibes for dancing, you have the club downstairs, with DJs, concerts, parties, private events, and lots of live music.
Sometimes it can get very crowded, so I recommend this place if you want to go for a few casual drinks and feel like dancing for a while. But not to stay until 6am.
Also, La que se lía it is an excellent place to celebrate your birthday before 12pm on a weekday night. If you only want to go to the club, there’s an entrance fee of 15 euros.
Perrachica
C. de Eloy Gonzalo, 10, 28010
This place is fantastic for spending an incredible night in a different plan. It’s a restaurant with a great atmosphere at midnight. You can drink and socialize while listening to music, dancing, and watching the DJ.
I always say you get the best of both worlds in this place. Conversation and socializing but dancing as if it were a discotheque.
It’s a restaurant that gains ambiance as the night unfolds and becomes a place to dance to the max, party with candles, and watch the waiters on top of the bar cheering on the crowd.
The DJ is excellent, and the price is more than fair for what they offer. 20 euros for two drinks (with a generous pour).
If you have friends you last saw long ago and want to catch up with, Perrachica is the place for you.
The vibes of this place will never let the night go downhill, and socializing never feels awkward since you’re surrounded by a party atmosphere.
Uñas Chung Lee
38, Calle Hilarión Eslava, Madrid, 28015
Uñas Chung Lee is one of the most fun and different clubs that you will find in Madrid.
I recommend this if you are in good vibes, want to have a great time, and enjoy a show at a good price.
I must say that I did not have the best expectations when hearing the place’s name because Uñas means nails in English.
And what do nails have to do with partying?
Well… Behind a Chinese nail and foot massage area, a nightclub with 2 floors of music from the 80s and 90s enlights Madrid’s nights. As well as reggaeton, commercial music, and house.
The concept was created by a show producer, so the venue is decorated with a Far East theme. The same one designed Medias Puri, another well-known nightclub in Madrid.
I invite you to open your mind and come to this fantastic club in Madrid for a crazy night out with your friends. You won’t regret the experience since it must differ from everything you already know.
- Entrance fee: 20 euros with one drink.
- Tables from 160 euros.
Vandido
Calle de Goya, 79, 28001 Madrid
One of the newest places in the city that everyone is talking about.
This club is located in the heart of the Salamanca district and has retro and 80s decorations.
The vibes, the atmosphere, and the sound will make it an unforgettable night. Good quality commercial music, a small room for light techno, and a great DJ!
The waiters are very friendly. I would say it is one of the best nightclubs if you want to have a great time without issues.
The best thing about Vandido is its stylish, sophisticated, elegant, lightning, and venue decoration.
It is very international and also. Getting in is easier with a reserved table because you don’t have to wait in line.
Drinks 12 euros and bottles 200 euros.
Gunilla
P.º de Recoletos, 16, 28001
Gunilla is another trendy and fun club to go out to in Madrid. This is your option if you want modernity, sophistication, and great decor. The venue has a bit of Baroque-style influence.
The average age for people attending this club is 19 for girls and 23 for boys. However, from Fridays to Saturdays, it is +26.
You’ll see both national and international people, and the average age is somewhat higher than you could expect in other Clubs in Madrid.
Gunilla has 2 floors with VIP areas. On the ground floor is where the actual party develops. It has many available tables and spaces to enjoy a VIP table with a bottle.
Then, on the first floor, you will see a wide range of tables and spaces distributed so you can enjoy yourself to the maximum but in a more chill way.
- Free access with VIP guest list
- Standard VIP table: 180 euros with 1 bottle and 10 soft drinks.
- Drinks: 15 euros approximately
However, the only thing I suggest to improve is the price-quality ratio. Gunilla is slightly too pricey, 35€ for two drinks at the entrance.
The demand for this club is high. But the fees are too expensive for what it is.
They play commercial house music in the disco area, pop and reggaeton. The ambiance is very nice, great for a night out.
Barbara ann
Calle de Sta. Teresa, 8, 28004
“Dinners, Cocktails & Rock and Roll”
is what defines this cool party bar with live performances and improvisations in a venue full of personality, where music and gastronomy merge in a cozy and familiar atmosphere.
The staff will guarantee that you will have a great time. From 11pm you can enjoy the nightlife of Madrid.
A perfect atmosphere with excellent staff and good music. Barbara ann is a nice place to have a good time in good company, you won’t regret the experience!
- Tapas: approx €15
- Cocktails: €8 - €10
- Drinks: €8-13
Kapital
C. de Atocha, 125, 28012
Kapital is a national reference to the nightlife culture in Spain.
This place is one that many recommend as a “go-to” if you are visiting Madrid. It is very touristy, has a smart casual dress code, and sometimes they have a live violinist or dancers on platforms.
If you arrive early, the entrance fee is €25 and includes 2 drinks. After that, drinks cost around €12 for a mixer.
It has 7 floors offering different music styles, spaces, decorations, or aesthetics, but always within an elegant and exclusive setting.
However, most floors have the same music playing from the ground floor. Only a few rooms have different music playing.
- Wednesdays and Sundays - Entrance with 2 drinks from 20€
- Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays - Ticket with 2 drinks from 25€
Originally, Kapital was a theater and was converted into a nightclub. It is in a privileged location in Atocha, where the famous Art Triangle can be found (Thyssen Museum, the Prado National Museum, and the Reina Sofia)
In addition, this club also has large VIP areas to enjoy a party with the highest level and luxury during your stay in Madrid.
Fortuny Home Club - Morris
C. de Fortuny, 34, 28010
Fortuny is a legendary nightlife spot in Madrid. This place has been home to Hollywood stars, influencers, and celebrities from all over the world.
This famous and well-known place has different areas and environments. Morris is a multidisciplinary space for all kinds of events.
The first place I’ll describe is the Garden, a covered terrace called La Cúpula Garden. You can enjoy delicious cocktails and chill socializing with your friends.
On the first floor is the Henriette Cocktail Bar. On the second floor is a restaurant, which becomes a disco and reserved area to enjoy all night.
The public that goes to Morris is approximately 25 and 40 years, and it is one of the most sought-after places in Madrid.
The only bad thing about this place is that it gets too crowded.
So I recommend starting the night at La Cúpula Garden, having a couple of drinks and socializing but book a table in advance to enjoy a more comfortable and private area.
Otherwise, it can be uncomfortable to move through the facilities.
La que faltaba
Calle de Sta Engracia, 84, 28010
La que faltaba is surrounded by Madrid’s busiest and most desirable nightlife bars.
It is also one of the most fun clubs in the Ponzano area. This famous location is known for its party atmosphere, drinks, after-work plans, and hilarious nights out to sing at the top of your lungs and dance until dawn.
La que faltaba is a great and fun club. You will always have a great time here; the music is cool!
The only bad thing is the queue to get in, but this is common in almost all clubs in Madrid. Also, the venue could be better distributed to improve the experience.
But it’s perfect for going out on a casual night. This place can quickly become your trusted club since it has the best and friendliest ambiance in Madrid, in an ideal area with great people.
You can expect people around 26 years old, and it is perfect for a fun night with friends.
Muy Bendito & Marusha
Calle de Juan Bravo, 35, 28006
Muy Bendito and Marusha are two of the best spots for going out in Madrid at night.
The venue is divided into three levels, with different rooms inside to enjoy to the fullest. It also has two connected rooms to dance to commercial and electronic music.
It offers DJ sessions, shows, and various theme parties from Thursday to Saturday.
In the main areas, they play reggaeton mostly the entire night. The ambiance is very nice since you’ll appreciate what it is like to sing and dance to this urban music that Spanish people love. We know the lyrics to every song by heart.
Then we have Marusha, another club next to Muy Bendito on the same street as Juan Bravo. The concept is similar, but Marusha is smaller and less spacious than Muy Bendito.
Salvaje Bless
C. de Velázquez, 62, 28001
Art, fashion, music, gastronomy, and delicate cocktails can be found under the same roof in Salvaje.
This place sets a precedent in raising napkins in the air and giving a show while eating must be included. Salvaje Bless, transferred to a luxury hotel, is home to the favorite place for celebrities and influencers.
The place has various ambiance and floors. In the lowest part is the nightclub, where you can have fun nights with awesome DJs, great music, and private places.
On the upper floor is a restaurant bar, where you can taste delicious dishes, cocktails, and drinks and enjoy a fantastic experience.
Also, there is a bowling spot that you can reserve to play bowling with your friends at the same time you drink, eat something and wait until the night is old enough to go hit the dance floor.
Opium
Calle de José Abascal, 56, 28003
Opium is a good club, very relaxed and accommodating. The venue is nicely decorated, so a business casual or eveningwear dress code is preferred.
They play different genres of music and fusions such as hip hop, Latin, Remix, and commercial music.
The free entrance area you can access with a regular ticket of 20 euros is a small, narrow walkway.
So, I recommend it for large groups, and reserve tables with a bottle since almost every part of the club is surrounded by VIP areas.
Drinks are €15 inside, and it is usually not so crowded, so you can have a good time with friends. The staff was friendly, and the club had a relaxed party atmosphere.
Plus, you can enjoy belly dance shows with good artists on Thursdays. I recommend it to anyone visiting nearby. But you should expect to find a place often full of teenagers and young people, especially in summer.
However, the atmosphere is unique at Opium.
Prices:
- Free entrance by lists.
- Entrance fee of 20 euros with one drink.
- Reserved areas from 200 euros with a bottle.
Chambao
P.º de la Castellana, 4, 2804
Excellent place with a perfect atmosphere and international vibe.
If you want to feel in Tulum in the middle of Winter in Madrid, Chambao is your place.
The venue has outstanding decoration. Everything is very coherent. The waitress’s dress code, the drinks, the menu, the tables, and everything makes sense.
The best thing about this place is its wonderful ambiance. So much energy and good vibes. I really enjoyed their service and attention.
I add this place to the list of “Best places to go out in Madrid” because it has the concept of dinner with a show.
The experience starts with the visual that captivates you from the moment you arrive. The aromas, textures, and incredible music you hear are incomparable.
The staff is beautiful and attentive, and extremely friendly. You can enjoy guitar shows, dances, fashion shows, and songs animated by candlelight during the night.
Chambao is the definition that Madrid does not rest even on Mondays. Here you can find atmosphere every day of the week.
Nômâda
C. de Serrano, 41, 28001
I want to end this list with one of the coolest places I recently discovered. Nômâda is probably among the best terraces in Madrid.
It is a Mediterranean restaurant where you can try the best cocktails and enjoy a show while dining, located next to Îstar.
The ambiance at night gets unique and vibrant. It has bohemian vibes with middle eastern fusion. Undoubtedly the best of Madrid’s nightlife, you’ll get an excellent experience.
They put on chill and relaxed music. The waiters are very attentive and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a great night with a group of friends.
Don’t go alone. The whole experience is best if you enjoy this tremendous socializing atmosphere.
I decided to end this list with a restaurant with an atmosphere and not with another club, on purpose.
This concept of dinner with a show and restaurants that look like nightclubs is one of the best plans I recommend you enjoy in Madrid.
I cannot talk about nightlife without mentioning these gems of the city that make the nights more vibrant, joyful, and fun.
Also, they usually end around 3:00 - 4:00 am. So it’s perfect for your grandma-friends who don’t like to stay up until late but are party animals at heart.
