1. Azotea Círculo de Bellas Artes
• Restaurant & Rooftop Bar • Casual • 360º views • 7th Floor
This spectacular terrace is among the most popular, offering stunning views of the Gran Via and the majestic Metropolis building.
Its central location makes it one of the most visited rooftops in the city. In addition to its 360º views of the beautiful city of Madrid, you can also enjoy good Spanish and Mediterranean food all day long!
You can relax in one of its comfortable loungers while you listen to good music, have a beer, a wine, or one of its refreshing cocktails at a relatively moderate price. It also has tables to eat and a glass hut with a retractable roof and walls, making it a place all year round.
This is the perfect place to end a long day while you dine, drink, and watch a fantastic sunset!
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 8am till 1am, Friday 9am till 2.30am, Saturday 8am till 2.30am and Sunday 11am till 2.30am
To go up to the roof terrace, you will have to pay 6€ per person.
2. Oscar Terrace

Just a step away from the Gran Via, in the Chueca neighborhood, you will find the Roommate Oscar Hotel. At the top of it is its beautiful roof terrace with spectacular views of the center of Madrid.
A modern oasis in the middle of the city that has become one of the most emblematic places in Madrid. One of the most famous rooftops visited by locals to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
The perfect place to relax in one of the Balinese beds while enjoying a good summer red wine. Also, when the good weather starts, you can take a dip in the beautiful pool!
During the summer months, the pool is open from 10.30am until 7pm. It is free for hotel guests, while external visitors must pay between 40-60€ (includes a towel, a tequila, and a glass of cava).
One of the best things about the Oscar terrace is the breakfast offered until noon every day, super rich and varied and for only 12,95€ (6€ for children). And if you wanna enjoy a good brunch in this iconic place, come on a Saturday!
Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday 7.30pm till 1am, Thursday and Friday 7.30pm till 2am, Saturday 1pm till 2am and Sunday 7.30pm till 2am.
Oscar Terrace is a trendy rooftop, so be on time to get a good spot and see the fantastic sunset!
3. Casa Suecia

Casa Suecia is located on the rooftop of the newly renovated NH Collection Madrid Suecia hotel.
With its different settings, incredible views, and a well-stocked bar, it is one of the best places to watch a city sunset. It has a restaurant, lobby bar, and the Hemingway Cocktail Bar, but the real gem is the rooftop terrace and bar.
You will fall in love with its beautiful decor and elegant walls. Still, its 360º views reaching to see Cibeles, the Retiro and other key areas of the capital will leave you speechless.
During the day, the atmosphere is much more casual and relaxed. Still, the place transforms into a lively nightclub with local music and DJs when night falls. While you dance, you can enjoy one of their tasty cocktails and a cold sangria and Mediterranean food to nibble on.
Opening hours: Open every day from 12.30pm till 1am.
Please note that they do not accept reservations, so it is advisable to arrive early to be able to find a place.
4. Le Tavernier

This curious rooftop with a maritime air inspired by the ports of the marina of A Coruña is hidden in the INNSIDE by Meliá Madrid Gran Vía hotel.
It is an informal rooftop of about 500 m2 divided into different spaces: a large bar, a stage for events, an area of high tables and tasting, and another area with a more relaxed atmosphere.
In Le Tavernier, you can choose from a wide variety of classic and signature cocktails, as well as beers and drinks. Don’t worry; if you are hungry, try one of their delicious grilled burgers.
And if you want to reserve a more private area for you and your group of friends, this great rooftop has a Secret Room with space for 18 guests.
Opening hours: Open every day from 4pm to 12am, except Mondays when closed.
5. 360º Rooftop Bar

Welcome to the highest terrace in Madrid, located in a magical place with incredible views of the entire city!
This spectacular rooftop bar with 360º views is located in the famous Hotel Riu Plaza de España. A spacious, modern rooftop with several levels and, best of all… a glass walkway for those brave enough to walk hundreds of meters high!!
This rooftop bar is open daily, so you can enjoy the outdoor terrace while having a cocktail or a coffee.
If you go down one floor, you will find the 360º Sky Bar, an elegant sky bar/discotheque, and the Eden Gastrobar.
Opening hours: Open every day from 11am to 1am.
The roof terrace is free for hotel guests, while outside visitors pay 5€ from 11am to 5pm and 10€ from 5pm to 12am. On weekends and public holidays, the price is 10€ from 11am to 12am.
6. Picalagartos Sky Bar & Restaurant

This trendy rooftop is located on the ninth floor of the fantastic NH Collection Gran Via hotel.
Picalagartos is divided into several spaces, which include a cocktail bar where you will taste some of the best cocktails in the city and a sofa area for those who want to be more relaxed.
The building itself is a real jewel of the neo-baroque style. When you enter the bar and the terrace, you will be amazed by its bohemian style and relaxed atmosphere.
You can also accompany your drink with one of their rich traditional Spanish dishes that you will find in their varied menu that changes depending on the season. Their interior restaurant is located one floor below, although they have some “tapas” options on the rooftop.
If you are looking for a nice and relaxed atmosphere, creative cocktails, and modern Spanish food at a chic rooftop with 360º views, Picalahartos is your place!
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 6pm till 2am, Friday from 5pm till 2am, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm till 2am.
It is possible to reserve a table in the restaurant on the 8th floor, but the rooftop bar is first come, first served.
7. Ginkgo Restaurante & Sky Bar

Come and discover this vibrant cocktail bar with a restaurant and live music!
You can find it at the top of the beautiful hotel VP Plaza España Design with fantastic 360º views that will leave you speechless. From its panoramic terrace with a swimming pool, you can see the Royal Palace, the Casa de Campo and the whole sky of Madrid!
You will be amazed by its ample space and its modern decoration that mixes Japanese with vintage touches.
In addition to its rooftop, you can enjoy its restaurant and its delicious cuisine with Mediterranean dishes and Asian influences.
Would you like to try one of their many signature cocktails or one of the classics? Come at sunset time, when the chicest and most vibrant atmosphere of the day is created, with DJ sessions and sometimes small jazz concerts.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 1pm till 1am, Friday and Saturday, 1pm till 2.30am and Sunday 1pm till 1am.
Reservations are required for the indoor restaurant, while the bar and terrace are on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is 3€ from Monday to Thursday and 6€ on weekends.
8. El Jardín de Diana

At the top of the 5-star Hyatt Centric Gran Vía Madrid, you will find this spectacular “secret” rooftop full of plants.
This elegant cocktail bar is the perfect place to end a hard day’s work; you can be outdoors, enjoy the afternoon sun, its rich cuisine, and of course, its wide selection of signature cocktails and classics. If you come with friends, you can order pitchers to share among all.
In this elegant oasis that is both relaxing and energetic, you can enjoy the authentic Madrid atmosphere and surround yourself with locals while contemplating the breathtaking views of Madrid.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 12.30pm till 12am, Friday from 12.30pm till 1am, Saturday from 5pm till 1am, and Sunday from 5pm till 12am.
9. The Hat

The Hat is one of the terraces that never fails. It may be the most charming rooftop in Madrid; if you don’t believe me, check it out yourself!
It is a modern hostel located in the neighborhood of La Latina, a hostel for smart travelers.
Whether you go alone or with friends, you will find young people to have an interesting conversations with.
If you are looking for a different and fun plan to enjoy a beautiful view of the rooftops of Madrid while you have a glass of wine or a nice cold beer, The Hat is your place!

10. Nice to Meet You

This rooftop bar is located in the Dear Hotel, offering spectacular 360º views of the Royal Palace, the Casa de Campo, Plaza de España, and Gran Vía.
It is a romantic place to have cocktails or dinner with friends. They also have resident DJs, so it’s an excellent place to start the night and continue partying later somewhere else.
The rooftop also has one of the coolest pools in Madrid, although there is a drawback… the pool is only open to guests of the Dear Hotel Madrid.
You can have a good meal in the sun in the rooftop restaurant. If you go at night, you can enjoy a lovely sunset, a delicious dinner, and a great bar that offers a variety of cocktails.
If you want to drink with a view and listen to good music, this is one of the best rooftop bars in Madrid that you can visit.

11. WXYZ Bar

An urban oasis located on top of the incredible Aloft Madrid Gran Via with panoramic views of the city.
This rooftop bar offers a covered area and a multi-level outdoor terrace with a very chic and cool design.
Don’t know what to order? Don’t worry because WXYZ Bar offers all kinds of drinks, from draft beers to original and creative cocktails. And to avoid having a drink on an empty stomach, you have a selection of appetizers to choose from, such as their delicious cheese boards and famous “patatas bravas.”
What I like most about this place is its informal urban atmosphere and the beautiful sunsets while listening to the rhythm of the music.
If you want to disconnect from everything and get together with friends for a fun afternoon/evening, do not hesitate and drop by here!
