You may spend your vacation elsewhere on the island, but I hope you see Palma and taste its great cafes.
If specialty coffee is your thing, I also have a list of the best cafes serving specialty coffee in Madrid with my favorites!
I must warn you that after reading this article, your belly will be grumpy, asking for some of the delicious breakfast and pastries of each coffee shop. And! Let’s not even start with the coffee craving you will get after looking at all the pictures below.
PS: I added 11 diferent itineraries at the end of this article to help you plan your trip to Spain!
Table of Contents ▼ ▶
1. La Molienda
📍Various locations
- La Molienda Bisbe 👉 Carrer del Bisbe Campins, 11
- La Molienda Arxiduc 👉 C/ de l’Arxiduc Lluís Salvador, 9a
- La Molienda Baluard 👉 Plaça de la Porta de Santa Catalina, 2
☕Specialty coffee, breakfast and brunch
La Molienda has been serving Mallorcans their morning coffee since 2013. This cafe in Mallorca is passionate about specialty coffee, and the quality of their work is visible in every inch of their store and products.
La Molienda has three stores around Palma de Mallorca, one for each part of the city: beachside, center, and inner land. The atmosphere in La Molienda is clean and friendly but intimate. You could go for brunch with friends or enjoy a coffee with a book by yourself.
One of my favorite drinks to order to taste the coffee of specialty cafes is an espresso or a batch brew. After that, I would order La Molienda’s Mocha (not every coffee shop offers one) and the avocado toast with Dukka.
2. Mistral Coffee House
📍Plaça de Weyler, 2A, 07001
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfast, and pastries
Mistral Coffee Shop opened in Mallorca back in 2017. Located in the historic center, it has become one of the favorites of Palma.
Like La Molienda, Mistral Coffee House is a specialty coffee and roaster in Mallorca that intends to provide the best coffee cup possible to each customer.
The atmosphere at Mistral Coffee House in Mallorca is cozy and friendly, thanks to its wooden furniture and colorful marble tables. This cafe roasts unique coffees worldwide, especially from Etipio and Colombia.
From their menu, I would totally order the flat white with the sourdough avocado toast of Halloumi cheese and a cinnamon roll.
3. Rosevelt Bakery
📍Carrer de la Missió, 15, Local 1, 07003
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfast, brunch, and pastries
Just like the name indicates, the specialty at Rosevelt Bakery is their bread and pastries. Look at their Instagram, and I promise you will have a sugar rush and probably a lot of hunger.
The vibe at Rosevelt Bakery is chic and modern. It is a perfect place for brunch or an afternoon dessert with friends, family, or your partner.
From Rosevelt Bakery, I would honestly eat all, but my budget can only take a few things, so from this coffee shop, I would take their batch brew with coffee from Rigthside Roasters, a pain au chocolat, and the pesto and burrata toast to taste their sourdough.
4. La Finca
📍Carrer de l’Escola Graduada, 5
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfast, and brunch. \
La Finca is a specialty coffee shop with more than two specialties of coffee and its toasts.
Located on the eastern side of the historic center of Mallorca, La Finca offers a cozy space for customers to feel like part of a community. The cafe uses coffee from Mistral and Inefable (roasters from Sevilla) that, alongside experts, baristas get beautifully extracted cups of coffee to each client.
In La Finca, I would definitely order an iced latter, an avocado toast, and the filo cookies, which remind me of my aunt’s Lebanese desserts!
5. Arabay Flagship Sore Palma
📍C. del Sindicat, 5
☕ Specialty coffee and breakfast
Arabay Flagship Sore Palma has been a roaster house since 1952! Today this cafe from Mallorca has stores in Madrid and Ibiza. Soon, they will open new places in other countries, such as Andorra, Italy, Singapour, and the United Arab Emirates.
Arabay Flagship Sore Palma has a bigger place than other cafes we have talked about; there, you will not face a shortage of tables, but the atmosphere is less personal.
As a specialty coffee cafe with over fifty years in the market, I encourage you to try most of their drinks with one of their sandwiches.
6. Nanø Coffee Lab
📍Carrer de Can Asprer, 2
☕ Specialty coffee and pastries
Nanø Coffee Lab is a recent member of the specialty coffee shops in Mallorca, located in the historic center of Palma.
This cafe doesn’t cafe the web, and their Instagram is pretty recent, but looking at the roasters from where they get their coffee, Hola Coffee and Nomad Coffee being two of them, the drinks in their cafe can only be superb.
The atmosphere at Nanø is welcoming, but unlike the other places, this cafe focuses only on coffee, so the place is smaller, having only a bench and a lateral bar to enjoy your coffee.
One of the people’s favorites is the Oat Milk Cappuccino, described as well-balanced and simply perfect! And besides offering great coffee, Nanø is praised for its great staff, which makes the place even.
7. THE BARN Coffee Roasters Berlin
📍Costa d’en Brossa, 5
☕ Specialty coffee
The BARN Coffee Roaster is a leading European brand from Berlin, with multiple stores in the German capital, one in Spain, and one in the United Arab Emirates.
The BARN focuses on beans that can reflect quality, cleanliness, sustainability, and traceability. And all the love that they put into coffee, they decided to replicate it in Palma de Mallorca, a few minutes away from the cathedral.
The BARN offers some pastries alongside their incredible coffee, so don’t expect breakfast! This is the perfect cafe in Mallorca for getting coffee and strolling through the city.
Besides offering top cups of coffee, The BARN has signature drinks like the Shakerato, a mix of espresso, elderflower, grapefruit, and gin!
9. Surry Hills Coffee
📍C. del Carme, 12
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfast, and brunch
And we are back with dine-in cafes! Surry Hills is a specialty coffee cafe in Palma de Mallorca with an Australian DNA.
Surry Hills is luminous and with a spacious interior to eat comfortably. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfy, which makes it perfect for brunch with friends, study time, or dedicated me time.
My to-go choice to enjoy in this Mallorcan coffee shop would be their salty Breakfast Platter and a flat white with oat milk.
10. NOTI - COFFEE & KITCHEN
📍Carrer de Josep Tous i Ferrer, 2
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfasts, and pastries
And we are getting close to the end of our list! The next cafe in Mallorca is Noti- Coffee and Kitchen.
This place was important because the cafe was rebranded from Garden Cafe to NOTI with new menus, improved coffee, and great baristas.
The atmosphere at Noti is friendly and cozy; the space is tiny but with enough room for a small group of friends and couples.
Mots customers really enjoy their avocado toasts with Benedictine eggs and their oat milk-based coffees.
11. Mama Carmen´s
📍Carrer de Cervantes, 21
☕ Specialty coffee, breakfast, brunch, and pastries
Mama Carmen’s is a family-owned cafe in Palma de Mallorca; it gets its coffee from different great roasters like Hola Coffee, Inefable, La Cabra, and Mistral, meaning the quality of the beans matched with a great barista will get you a wonderful cup of coffee.
The atmosphere at Mama Carmen’s is lovely and familiar, and the interior decoration resembles a traditional Spanish kitchen with beautiful tiles and vintage furniture.
Mama Carmen’s offers exotic, creative breakfast bowls and tasty, filling toasts for a big breakfast or brunch. Their coffee menu includes all the classics, and they have a special drink of the house, like the Dirty Chai and Dirty Chocolate, with an espresso shot (the dirty part of the drink).
