Well, time to stop and read this article. Here I will talk about six renting platforms in Seville to find the ideal housing if you are a student or an ex-pat.

Let’s not extend this introduction and go for it!

1. Idealista
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€250/month | €1,500/month | 4 languages (ES, EN, FR, PT) | Yes |
Idealista is one of Spain’s most famous renting platforms, if not the most successful. It usually offers a wide variety of options across the city, so much so that even if you don’t know the name of the neighborhoods, the platform lets you draw the area where you would like to live and shows you every apartment/room available.
In terms of price, Idealista offers options for every budget. But as in any other city, you must remember that the prices will always increase in centric neighborhoods like the Old Town, Santa Curz, and Triana.
The previous restaurants are in the heart of the city, so transport, restaurants, shops, and many other amenities will be available closer to your new home.

Here are some potential red flags you need to consider while looking for your new room or apartment. Idealista is a platform used for both real estate agencies and independent landlords. When you rent a place, an agency will ask you for their service fee, a fianza (security deposit returned at the end of your stay), and the first month.
The latter is the usual amount of money the client asks; if a landlord works independently, they might only ask for the fianza and the first month.
Now, where is the red flag? Some landlords will ask you r for exorbitant (two or three times the monthly rent) security deposits, so read the small texts of the apartment description before making any visit.
Another red flag is when the landlord asks you to pay before visiting the apartment or when they don’t answer your questions. The good thing is that Idealista is always aware of possible fraud and takes down offers that don’t seem legitimate.
Idealista is a great place to find an apartment; just start your search with time!
2. Spotahome
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€200/month | €1,200/month | 7 languages (EN, ES, FR, IT, DE, PT, NL) | Yes |
Something I love about Spotahome Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville is that most of the homes available are refurbished; they look very bright and modern. There are some exceptions, but this is the case in most of them.
A feature I appreciate in Spotahome is that the information on the landlord’s requirements, fees, the minimum and maximum time for renting, and other details are clearly displayed in big sections below the pictures of the apartments.
A second important thing to highlight about this platform is that they have Fraud Protection that states that the money is transferred to the landlord only 48 hours after your move-in and that you have confirmed everything is well.
3. Erasmusu
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€250/month | €1,500/month | 5 languages (EN, ES, FR, IT, DE) | No |
The first thing you should know about Erasmusu is that their main target is students, and everything they offer is to facilitate the Erasmus or exchange students’ move to Seville.
Seville has a university in the heart of the city, so if you attend that one and can afford it, I recommend you stay in the heart of Seville to have transportation, restaurants, shops, and other amenities right next to you.
Even though this platform is pretty reliable, there will always be exceptions. A previous client shared that their reservation got canceled last minute, but the team of Erasmusu states their priority would be to offer the best relocation.
As this platform is part of Spotahome, they also apply for Fraud Protection, so you know that your money won’t be transferred to the landlord until you have confirmed everything is well.
This platform differentiates from the other two because it offers a community-focused platform with forums and events.
Another interesting feature? They have a space for you to find your next roommates!
4. Uniplaces
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€180/month | €1,500/month | 9 languages (EN, ES, FR, IT, DE, PT, NL, TR, PL) | Yes |
Don’t let the name of the platform fool you. Uniplaces is a renting platform with homes all over Europe, Oceania, and America. They don’t focus only on university students but also on digital nomads, professionals, groups, and families.
So, if you are any of this, know that until 2023, Uniplaces has between 300 and 400 available homes in Seville. If you are in the category of students, know that the best neighborhoods are Nervión, Los Remedios, y El Porvenir. All these areas are well-connected and offer plenty of amenities.
A tip to differentiate the safest offers is to verify that the apartment or room has the labels of “checked” and “trusted landlords,” which means that the team of Uniplaces has visited the place and worked with the landlord before.
Just the Spotahome and Erasmusu, Uniplaces also offers a policy of Scam Protection which pays the landlord only 24 hours after you have moved in and checked the apartment.
5. Fotocasa
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€200/month | €1,500/month | 3 languages (ES, EN, CA) | Yes |
Fotocasa is a platform similar to Idealista because it connects renters to landlords and real estate agencies.
Fotocasa has been featured in several newspapers, such as El Pais, La Vanguardia, and El Mundo, all respected in Spanish newspapers. This renting platform offers various homes in Seville, from the city center to the outskirts.
I would recommend Fotocasa, more to ex-pats than students coming to Seville, because similar to Idealista, it is just a space to find a home and contact either the owner or the agency, but it does not offer the same protections as Spotahome or Erasmusu if the case of fraud and it only works in Spanish and English.
When renting through Fotocasa, it is important to pay attention to the terms of the rental agreement and communicate with the landlord or property manager to clarify any questions or concerns. Additionally, it is important to thoroughly inspect the apartment or house before moving in to ensure that it is in good condition and that any necessary repairs have been made.
This platform offers interesting features: the mortgage section, neighborhood guide, and price index.
6. Enalquiler
Minimum Price | Maximum Price | Languages Available | App |
---|---|---|---|
€150/month | €1,500/month | 1 language (ES) | Yes |
Enalquiler is another renting platform for housing in Seville, similar to Idealista and Fotocasa.
Once again, it offers various housing options, especially for ex-pat families looking for an apartment all for themselves.
For this platform, I recommend the same thing as in Idealista and Fotocasa, read every single detail! Some independent landlords don’t add all the needed information, so exercising caution and thoroughly researching any property and landlord before committing to a rental agreement is important.
The mortgage section and price calculator are two features that differentiate it from the other platforms.

Essential Tips for Housing in Seville!
- Do the research! Before spending hours browsing for a home, know the best place to live in depending on your situation, set a budget and figure out the minimum amenities you need from the apartment.
- Check the security deposits and agency fee requirements.
- Ask as many questions as yuo can clarify everything; if the landlord gives you incomplete answers, move on to another option.
- Reject any offer in Idealista, Fotocasa, or Enalquiler that makes you pay without showing you anything. Platforms like Spotahome, Erasmusu, and Uniplaces are used for international students that can’t see the place, and you can rely on their Scam Protection policy.
- Always read the full contract before signing anything! It is important to remind you of it.
I truly hope this article’s results are helpful for your home search in Seville; I know it can be stressful, but if you follow the tips above, the search and selection will be easier.
